2025-2026 Adult Resource Alliance of Yellowstone County (ARAYC) Senior Mill Levy Funding

Request for Proposals

ARAYC’s mission is to provide effective services and lead collaborative efforts to ensure older adults remain independent with the highest possible quality of life. As part of our mission, we are seeking funding applications to strengthen and expand the impact for older adults in Yellowstone County.

ARAYC services, programs and strategic partnerships align with the following components of well-being for older adults:

Physical Wellness: Physical wellness is the foundation for building well-being for older adults.  This area supports the improvement in strength, flexibility, balanced nutrition, exercise.

Which could include:

  • Nutrition programs
  • Fitness classes
  • Increasing access to physical wellness activities and programs for older adults.
  • Intellectual Wellness: While changes in mental agility come naturally with aging, there is reason to stimulate the mind and strengthen it for a better quality of life.

    Which could include:

  • Brain Healthy activities and programs
  • Fitness classes
  • Meaningful life-long learning opportunities
  • Social-Emotional Wellness: Addressing emotional needs for older adults helps to improve mood, self-awareness, and the ability to cope with challenges.

    Which could include:

  • Mindfulness and meditation
  • Mental health support
  • Pet therapy
  • Art activities
  • Gathering events & group outings
  • One-on-one interactions
  • Intergenerational programs
  • Partnership Expectations:

  • Complete and submit all requested reports throughout the funding cycle.
  • Attend any pre-scheduled trainings, if any, required for Mill Levy funding.
  • Attend any scheduled trainings and/or meetings related to Yellowstone County Senior Mill Levy funding.

    Funding Overview:

    Funding Period Over 12 months from July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026
    Application Deadline March 11, 2025
    Award Announcement May/June 2025
    Payment Schedule Four quarterly payments at the beginning of each quarter

    Who Can Apply:

    Non-Profit Status Must be a 501c(3),municipality or other community service org.
    Geography Must serve & operate in Yellowstone County
    Alignment with ARAYC Must align with ARAYC’s priorities
    Partnership with ARAYC Must adhere to outlined partnership expectations

    February 17, 2025 Official Release of Requests for Proposals (RFP)
    February 19, 2025 Virtual RFP Informational Session
    March 11, 2025 RFP closes, applications due
    March 17, 2025 Applicant presentations
    March-May Application review and prioritization
    May-June Organizations notified of status of application & agreements signed
    July, 2025 Funding begins
    October-November, 2025 Mid-year Outcomes & Progress Presentation
    January , 2026
    April , 2026
    July , 2026
